Starting Bid Amount
We recommend starting all your auctions with a low starting bid. This promotes a higher level of bids activity on your vehicles. Additionally, it gives you the opportunity to introduce your company and phone number to each bidder, as they bid. Let's face it - a car purchase is an impulse buy. The bidder who jokingly put in a $700 bid on a Ferrari today will either have purchased a vehicle or stopped looking by the time your auction ends in as long as 10 days from now! One of CarAuctionPro's most important features is email management. As soon as a bidder places a bid on your vehicle, CarAuctionPro sends them an email inviting them to contact your sales department and work out a deal immediately. This is one of the competitive advantages to using our system! If you set all your first-bids to a wholesale or larger number, you will miss out on all these "leads". Granted - not everyone who bids $700 on a Ferrari is a serious buyer - but allow us to state with certainty (from our own experience) there are many more buyers in the bidder base than you realize. Work every lead, and sell more cars with CarAuctionPro©!
Images
If a picture is worth 1000 words, then 50 pictures are worth, well, at least 50,000 words! The more pictures you post on your ads, the more comfortable your customers will feel bidding on your vehicles. Since it doesnt cost you any more time to use more pictures, and since its just as easy to put one picture on your ad as it is to put 50 pictures using CarAuctionPro©, feel free to go overboard with your pictures! You will sell more cars!
Disclosure
Contrary to popular belief, the more you disclose about imperfections in your vehicles on eBay, the more your customers will feel comfortable with a purchase. So be proud of that vehicle with a blown clutch or bald tires or a scratch on the driver's side door! Put your imperfections out in big bold letters and watch your bids, feedback, and buyer satisfaction improve! Remember, if you are only in this to sell a single car, you dont need our software, because you won't be in business tomorrow. But if you want to build a lasting business and get better prices in the process, just humor us, and try accurately describing your vehicles! Just watch what happens when you do get in that perfect car, and you have 100's of feedbacks saying how accurate your condition reports are!
Feedback
As you may know, eBay is a feedback driven community. It is very important that when you sell a vehicle through eBay, you strive to exchange positive feedback with the purchaser. The more positive feedback you have, the more bidders will trust your company. Whether you have one month or five decades of name recognition in your community, without a great feedback profile on your eBay account, you will find that bidders will pass over your company for one that has proven themselves to the eBay community! The more positive experiences you have through eBay, the better pricing and more cars you will sell. It's a fact!
